VER

Visual Evoked Potential Studies is a neurological procedure on visual nerve pathways to diagnose or evaluate neurological diseases involving these nerves.

Slide 4
VEP are electrical responses elicited by specific visual stimuli and processed by the classic visual sensory system. It is an objective method in evaluating the physiology and physiopathology of the visual system and its pathways.
It is Halliday and his group who  first observed in 1972 that VEPs to checkerboard pattern reversal were delayed in optic neuritis.
VEP is used mainly in neuro-opthalmology and neurology for the evaluation of visual pathway function.

If you need portable VEP studies or are interested to learn more about this procedure, please feel free to email us for details at mdteqinc@socal.rr.com
